Acute Coronary Syndrome, or ACS, is a term under which mainly three diseases may be classified. The syndrome itself is a series of signs and symptoms that suggest one of the three disease of unstable angina, and two forms of myocardial infarction. These two types are termed as per the findings on the electrocardiogram as non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction or NSTEMI and ST segment elevation myocardial infarction or STEMI.
